(1) I wrote the following in an article titled
"Varga Narayana Dasas and Vajpayee Government" (written on 29th
April 1999):
"Leo dasa of six months will run from May 19, 1999."
"Rahu's presence may indicate unpleasant confrontation with some countries, but Sun is very strong in own house. This means that India's voice may be heard with attention and India's point of view may be respected in international fora during this period. The international community may respect the bold stand taken by Vajpayee government."
"This could bring fresh troubles from terrorism."
The above forecast of mine can be read in the two-part article published in the July & Aug 1999 issues of "Express Star Teller" Magazine published from Chennai/Madras, India.
Note: India took a bold stand that Pakistan must withdraw infiltrators as a precondition for talks and got unexpected support from US. This is pretty consistent with what I wrote. India's air strikes started on May 25, 1999. The period I pointed out started "from May 19, 1999". This article was written about one month before the air strikes were launched.
(2) About a year back, on 4th August 1998, I wrote in the "World Events" subsection of "Astrological Discussions" section in this homepage that there may be "aggressive and sudden developments in India's neighborhood" around "July-Sept 1999".
(3) On 1st June 1999, I wrote that "things
can get very serious between
India and Pakistan after June 14, 1999".
When the foreign minister of Pakistan visited India on June 12/13, India
took a firm stand that there would be no talks until the infiltrators were
evicted. There was a deadlock and the tensions rose.
