India's Bharatiya Janata Party which promotes "Hindu Nationalism" in India is fast becoming a very powerful player in Indian politics. BJP was looking for alliances at the national level not so long ago, in order to beat the Congress party. But today the Congress party is forced to seek alliances with other parties in order to beat BJP.
With the Gujral government widely expected to fall in the next year or two, the question that crosses everyone's mind is "will BJP come to power?"
Considering the debilitation of Saturn from April 1998, it may be safely predicted that communist and socialist forces will see a diminishing support and fascist and religious forces will have a field day from 1998.
It is very likely that BJP will steal the limelight on the stage of Indian politics during 1998-2000 and that they will be in charge of India's destiny for a few years atleast. BJP's tryst with destiny, which eluded them during the brief stint as India's ruling party, may be coming very soon!
