I wrote the following in an article titled
"Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi", written on 26th
August 2000 and published in pages 16-20 of the March 2001 issue of "Express Star Teller" magazine published in Chennai, India:
"If Chiranjeevi has political ambitions, Jupiter antardasa during 2008-2009 will be favorable as exalted Jupiter occupies Ghati Lagna (GL) in rasi chart. GL is the seat of power in a chart."
"Aquarius is the 5th house of power. It aspects GL. And, its lord is exalted in lagna. Moreover, it is the 7th house from the raja yogas in Leo. So Aquarius dasa from 2007 to 2012 has the potential to bring political power. During 2009-2019, Cancer's Narayana dasa will run and that is also favorable for political power, as Cancer contains GL. If Chiranjeevi has political ambitions, this is the time when he should be willing to take some risks. All the best, Chiranjeevi!"
At the time this was written more than 7 years back, there were no signals from Chiranjeevi that he wanted to enter politics. But the political circles in the AP state of India are right now abuzz with rumours that Chiranjeevi is very seriously considering political entry. Interestingly, this talk started in 2007 and it is reaching a crescendo in 2008. As mentioned above, dasas capable of confering political power are starting based on one dasa system after another. It is very likely that 2009 will bring political power to Chiranjeevi. In fact, his annual lunar return chart for 2008-09 also shows raja yoga in April-June 2009. It is very likely that Chiranjeevi will enter active politics in 2008 and get political power in April-June 2009 (i.e. elections will not be advanced).
This is one more example of the greatness of Jyotish principles taught by Parasara and other rishis and how beautifully they work sometimes, even when applied by an idiot like me. My knowledge is small now but was even smaller in 2000 when this prediction was made. Yet developments foreseen 7-8 years back based on the teachings of rishis are unfolding now.
Om shaantih shaantih shaantih - May the world be filled with peace!
